The UCLA Office of Instructional Development (OID) supports the instructional mission of the University and enhances teaching and learning opportunities. Through grants, programs and services OID promotes the effective use of current and emerging instructional methodologies and technologies.
Teaching with Technology Workshops
OID is pleased to announce a new series of workshops designed to help instructors deal with UCLA's technology landscape. Intended for faculty and teaching assistants, these workshops help develop the technical skills for teaching in today's environment. 2009 Copenhaver Award Winner
Timothy Tangherlini from the Scandinavian Section describes his approach to folklore and the creation of the Danish Folklore Database.
He used the software with an undergraduate class for the first time
this academic year and he discusses the results of that experience.
